I, alongside the other teachers of linguistics, am excited to announce that online teaching will commence sometime after the 23rd of March (that is, give or take, pending on how long it will take us to set up the respective online teaching platforms and prepare all teaching materials).
This is, naturally, in response to the restrictions imposed by the recent COVID-19 epidemiological countermeasures. The classes/courses will likely be similar in form to COME/Moodle type courses already taught at the University.
I share the opinion of the faculty at large that commencing with online teaching is preferable (for students and teachers alike) to extending the academic year.
Primarily, stay safe and be responsible during this trying time. In a Maslovian sense, you need to be well to learn.
